Wanda Lorene McClain Ledford, age 66, of Carnesville, Georgia, passed away on July 19, 2017.

She was born the daughter of the late Rev. Joe McClain and Ruby Taylor McClain in Clayton, Georgia where she lived until 1996. She was a member of the Baptist faith and loved the Lord. She was a loving wife to her husband, Billy Newton Ledford and a loving mother and grandmother. In Wanda's professional career, she worked as a seamstress in the textile industry. In her free time she loved spending time with her family, and making arts and crafts to decorate her home.

In addition to her husband, her survivors include her son, Brent Ledford, of Clayton, Georgia; her daughter, Stephanie McKinney (Eric), of Canon, Georgia; her brother, Matthew McClain (Renée), of Rabun Gap, Georgia; three sisters, Linda Dills, Diane McCrackin (Madison) and Karen Talley, all of Clayton, Georgia; one granddaughter, Brittany Franks (Joshua).

The family will receive friends for a short time before the service.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Beck Funeral Home at 3:30 pm on July 22, 2017 with the Rev. Marty Kilby and Rev. Madison McCrackin officiating.

Interment will follow in the Joe McClain Cemetery located at 73 Joe McClain Rd. Wiley, Georgia.
