Angela "Angie" Regina (Chastain) Kohlman Obituary
Angela “Angie” Regina Chastain Kohlman, 51 of Clayton, Georgia went to her heavenly home January 5, 2024, surrounded by family, and loved ones.
Angela was born in Rabun County, Georgia, the daughter of Ernest Chastain and Joyce Speed Chastain. Angie enjoyed being outside her entire life which began early on when she started fishing and coon hunting with her Papaw, even becoming a member of the Macon County Coon Hunters Association around age five. She loved to just sit outside, watch her hummingbirds and listening to her windchimes for hours. Her favorite place to be was at the beach appreciating the sand and sea every moment that she was there but the thing that she loved more than anything else was spending time with her son Jordan and grandsons Jaxon and Zay – taking great pride in her most coveted name of Gigi. She was excitedly awaiting the arrival of her first granddaughter this upcoming spring.
Angie was a loving wife, daughter, mother, Gigi and was well known as the big sister to all of her younger siblings, coming to their defense at a moment’s notice. She was never unclear on where you stood with her, and her quick wit could win over just about anyone. In her last days as her family and loved ones rallied around her, she was quick to make a joke or turn a serious situation into a memory that those that love her the most will forever cherish.
Angie was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Furman “Dock” and Estelle Chastain; maternal grandparents, Richard Speed and Dorothy Speed; father-in-law, Zachery Kohlman.
Angela is survived by her parents; her loving husband, Matt Kohlman; one son, Jordan Chastain (Becky Kilby); two brothers, John Chastain, Dakota Chastain; six sisters, Sheilah Becerra (Ricardo), Dena Carver (Tim), Lisa Sanchez, Patti Chastain, Tonya Chastain, Leah Crouse; two grandchildren, Jaxon Chastain, Zay Chastain; mother-in-Law: Anna Kohlman; brother-in-law, Zachery Kohlman (Lila); sister-in-law: Emily Staffelbach (Justin); a very special cousin Teresia Dunn, As well as numerous nieces and nephews
