Carol (Smith) Pickens

Carol Smith Pickens, age 87, of Tiger, Georgia passed away on August 30, 2023.

Carol was born on October 28, 1935 in Lakemont, Georgia, to the late William Jesse Smith and Maude Jones Smith. Carol spent her days as a textile worker in the shirt factory and Don-L.

Carol enjoyed flowers, traveling, bird watching, creeks, and generally spending time in nature. She loved to spend time with her family and was always quick to laugh. In quiet times, she loved to read and work her puzzle books with her cats beside her.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by spouse Ralph Pickens, child, Krystal Dawn Pickens, siblings, Garth Smith, Garfield Smith, Garland Smith, Myles Smith, David (Sandy) Smith, Lorraine Carpenter, Margie Chappell, Ellaine Chappell, and Barbara Dodson.

She is survived by children, Eric (Lynn) Pickens and Holly Pickens, sibling, Evelyn Scarnato, granddaughter, Gracie Pickens, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends will be accepted at Beck Funeral Home 2:00pm-4:00pm on Sunday, September 10, 2023, The service will follow at 4:00pm in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel with David Cross officiating.
