It has come to our attention that there is a scam happening in our community where an individual is impersonating a funeral home employee asking for payment over the phone. They are calling family members by name and stating that they are a member of our staff. This is not the case at all! Please be aware of this scam and if you have any questions or concerns, please call us anytime: (706) 782-9599.

Charles Thomas Jones Jr. passed away on the morning of September 30, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
Charles was born October 2, 1950 in Ellenwood, Tennessee to the late Charles and Lulee Jones and had a sister Tommy Lou Jerden. He married the love of his life Debra Thompson in 1978 and they began their journey together in Memphis, TN. Charles found his passion in the printing industry and continued in this career path until he retired in 2012.
After his retirement Charles decided to bring his dreams to fruition. Bees and Coffee, both he loved dearly and brought him much joy. He started his coffee business with his wife and Copper Creek Coffee took off. He loved roasting coffee and supplying the many people and businesses in Rabun county, but what brought him the most joy was connecting with everyone day to day. At home, Charles loved to tend to his bees and harvest honey.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Debra Jones; children Chris Jones (Teresa), Jennifer Bentley, Carey Jones, and Julie Turner; and grandchildren, Ethan Jones, Dylan Bentley, Jaylnn Jones, Isabella Bentley, and Kinley Jones.
The service for Charles Jones will be held at Rocky Grove Baptist church which was his second home. He loved the Lord and loved spending time with his church family. Of all things, Charles held his faith closest to his heart and felt the warmth of the Lord from each and every member at Rocky Grove. With each smile given, he would always return a thousand more. We invite you to come celebrate Charles on October 12th at 2pm to remember and thank him for all the joy he brought to our lives.
