Clifford Edwin “Cliff” Conner, age 88, of Clayton, Georgia passed away on January 13, 2025.

Cliff was born on September 21, 1936 in Bryson City, North Carolina to the late Roy Minyard Conner and late Lessie Ayers Conner. He spent many years working as a Maintenance Technician for Burlington Industries. After retiring, he opened up a trucking company.

Cliff was a faithful member of Chechero Baptist Church. He enjoyed attending the men’s Sunday school class and sung in the church choir for many years. Cliff loved hunting and fishing, especially deep sea fishing and fishing for trout and salmon.

In addition to his parents, Cliff is preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Conner and Jack Conner; sisters Eleanor, and Reva; sons, Eddie Conner, Marty Conner, and Robbie Conner; and step-sons, Vince Johnson and Patrick Moore.

Cliff is survived by his loving wife, Margie Moore Conner; son, Harvey Conner (Susan); brothers, Steve Conner (Sue), Ray Conner (Jeanette), and Bill Conner (Eloise); sister, Martha Speed; grandchildren, Evan Conner, Jonathan York, Katherine Conner, Anna Conner, Brent Johnson, Seth Johnson, and Jessica Ford; and many great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held 5:00pm-6:00pm on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Chechero Baptist Church in Clayton, Georgia with a funeral service at 6:00pm following the visitation. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers family ask donations be made to St Jude's Children Hospital or a Charity of choice.
