Dorothy "Gail" Coalley Obituary

Dorothy Gail Coalley, age 64, of Lakemont, Georgia passed away on July 18, 2023.

Gail was born on February 7, 1959 in Rabun County, Georgia to the late Herbert “Hub” Watts and the late Fannie May (Tyler) Watts. Gail spent her days as a Homemaker and a very proud Nanny. She was a follower of the Baptist faith and loved gospel music.

Gail enjoyed spending time with family, camping and helping people. She also found great joy in “playing jokes” on the ones she loved.

In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her siblings, Jack Watts of Clayton, Jimmy Watts of Clarkesville, and Shirley Watts of Clarkesville.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dale Coalley of Lakemont, and her children, Trevor (Kaylee) Coalley, Brittney Wood (Martin McCall), and Megan Ramey. Gail is also survived by her siblings, Calvin Watts of Franklin, David (Tajuana) Watts of Demorest, Terry (Angie) Watts of Clayton, Jean (Elbert) Miller of Mt Airy, Glenda (Billy) Dyer of Clarkesville, and Ann (Bobby) Smith of Banks County. She is survived by four grandchildren, Kooper, Brooklynn, Devin and Jayden.

Visitation will be held at Mountain Grove Baptist Church on Thursday, July 20, 2023 beginning at 11:00am, with the service following at 2:00pm. Interment will follow the service in Mountain Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beck Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
