Mr. Doyle Hollifield Taylor, age 87, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 12, 1936 in Rabun, Georgia, a son of the late Marlor Doyle and Fannie Lula Hollifield Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his son Byron Taylor, son-in-law Ronnie Ensley.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Taylor of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Sherry Taylor of Crandall, GA; daughter, Teresa Ensley of Dalton, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Donita Taylor of Ash, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Henry Burrell of Rabun, GA; grandchildren, Savannah and Derreck Corn of Calhoun, GA, Tad and Kacey Taylor of Eton, GA, Cody and Taylor Ensley, Gracey Ensley Brady Ensley of Dalton, GA; great grandchildren, Kayslee, Karolee, Max, Miles, Katelyn, Kelcie; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and special friends. 

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Doyle Hollifield Taylor will be held Saturday December 30, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Preston Bivens and Dr. Danny Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in the United Memorial Gardens with Tad Taylor, Cody Ensley, Brady Ensley, Stacy Thomas, Robert Sutton and Kyle Burrell serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday.  

Flowers will be accepted or donation can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
