Duane "Brownie" Edward Brown

Duane Edward Brown, affectionately known as “Brownie”, passed away peacefully at his home on August 12, 2022. He was a caring father, grandfather and friend. Duane loved life, spending time with his family, racing and football. He served his country in the US Army, returning home from Vietnam in 1970.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Regina Brown. He is survived by his two children, Jason (Jonnie) Brown and Dulene (David) Jones, his four grandchildren, Ryan Brown, Brooke Jones (Jacob) Ledford, Noah Brown and Brent Jones. He is also survived by his faithful caregiver, Eulene Brown.  

The family will have a visitation at Beck Funeral Home from 6:00PM to 9:00PM on Monday, August 15, 2022. The funeral will be at the Beck Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00pm on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Following the funeral service, the graveside service will take place at Scaly Methodist Cemetery with Kyle Watts officiating.

The pallbearers are Ryan Brown, Brent Jones, Noah Brown, Jacob Ledford, Rusty Hunnicutt, Jordan Dixon. Honorary pallbearers are Robert York, Reid Darnell, Roy Butcher, Jerry Buice, Cal Young, Pat Thomas, Gene Hodges, Ronnie Burnett, Tommy Brown, Dean Brown and Joe Topia.
