Edgar Allen Campbell, Sr., age 76, of Clayton, Georgia passed away on December 9, 2021.
He was born the son of the late James Alfred Campbell and the late Effie Catherine Partin Campbell on April 7, 1945. In his professional life he worked as a tool and die maker for GAP manufacturing. Edgar was a Veteran of the Vietnam War where he served his country as a mine sweeper. He was a member of the Rabun Gap Masonic Lodge #265. He was a Master Mason, member of the Scottish Rite and a Shriner. He served as the secretary for the Rabun Gap Lodge for many years. Edgar loved building things, and will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather who always spent as much time as possible with his family.
He is proceeded in death by his parents James Alfred Campbell and Catherine Partin Campbell, two brothers Milton Campbell, Junior Campbell, four Aunts Grace Parker, Reilla Howgate, Cora Campbell, Dora Campbell two Uncles Emory Campbell and Jesse Campbell, Father in Law Ray Mize Mother in Law Ethel Mize, one Niece Theresa R. Fortner One Nephew Raymond Campbell II One Brother in Law Lawrence Smith.
His survivors include his loving wife, Joyce Mize Campbell, of Clayton; his three sons, Edgar Campbell, Jr., Alex Campbell (Leighann)and Michael Campbell, all of Clayton; his daughter, Stephanie Campbell, of Clayton; one brother, Raymond Campbell (Patsy), of St. Cloud, Florida; one sister, Joyce Louise Smith, of St. Cloud, Florida; six grandchildren, Olivia Campbell, Michael Campbell, Cadence Campbell, Samara Day, Thereslyn Carlyle, Brentyn Hardy.
A service will be held at a later date.
