Jacqueline “Jackie” Lee (Budatz/Jessen) Hoffman, of Hiawassee, Georgia, passed away on December 6, 2023, with her loved ones by her side.

Jackie was born on June 6, 1940, to the late Harry Budatz and late Alice Marion Jessen. She later gained a father figure, the late Harvey H. J. Jessen, who loved her dearly.

Jackie was a Registered Nurse who earned her Master’s Degree in Health Administration. She also had a Nursing Home Administration Certificate and held the Certified Health Executive designation. Jackie worked as an RN of Cardiology, St Joseph’s Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia; VP, Patient Care, Gwinnett Hospital Systems Inc.; and Managing Director of Health Services, Annandale Village, Suwanee, Georgia.

Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. She also enjoyed spending her time cooking, crafting, decorating, knitting, and shopping.

In addition to her parents, Jackie is preceded in death by her grandmother, Martha (Timmrick) Arbuckle; siblings Bobette Jessen and Harvey T. Jessen; and uncle, Robert Arbuckle.

Jackie is survived by her loving husband, Marshall Hoffman; children, Chuck Brown (Cathy), Shari Brown O’Leary (Kevin), Debbie Brown, and Lori Hoffman, beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, and sister Sherry Roach.

A Memorial Service will be held to honor the life of Jackie Hoffman at 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel.
