James Lee Arrowood, 77, of Toccoa passed away December 19, 2024 at his home. A resident of Stephens County, James was born in Hiawassee, Georgia.

James worked as an independent painting contractor where he put his creativity to use by beautifying homes and businesses. James also served in the United States Navy.

He loved fishing, listening to bluegrass music and collecting precious stones from creek and river beds. James was of the Baptist faith.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mildred Arrowood; sisters, Glenda Voiles, Donna Ingemanson, and Karen Hadden.

James is survived by his daughters, Terina (Brad) Godwin of Orange Beach, AL and Amy (Justine) Caraway of Cornelia, GA; grandchildren, Lily and Wyatt Godwin; sisters, Jody and Albert Shirley of Hollywood, GA, Jean and Charles Reed of Highlands, NC, Patty and John Tolliver of Norcross, GA, Bobbi and Mike Clancy of Clarkesville, GA; brothers, Jerry Arrowood of Auburn, GA and Ricky Arrowood of Auburn, GA.
