James Brevelle Williams, age 85, of the Betty’s Creek community passed away August 15, 2024.  He left this world in the same home he was born in the day after Christmas in 1938.  He was the son of Carl Williams and Priscilla McDowell Williams and was raised by his beloved grandmother, Mary Shope Williams.

He was married to the love of his life, Mary Williams,  for 53 years.  An electrician by trade, he was a member of the IBEW Local 756 for 65 years.  He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and traveling among many other hobbies.  He was a true friend to many. A great father, grandfather and husband.

He is survived by his wife Mary, son Robert Fowler, stepdaughter Kim Gwynne, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother Neville Williams and one daughter Melody Williams.

A graveside service will be held 1:00pm Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Head of Tennessee Baptist Church Cemetery..
