John "Doug" Douglas Nix

John “Doug” Douglas Nix, 81, of Tiger, Georgia passed away on August 8, 2023.

Doug was born on February 12, 1942 in Macon, North Carolina to the late Garnet Edwin Nix and the late Stella Leona Harkins Nix. He made a career for himself as a textile dyer at Rabun Mills.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Cannon Nix, of Tiger, Georgia.

There is a graveside service to be held in Doug’s honor at Head of Tennessee Baptist Cemetery on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 10:00am with Reverend Ben Phillips.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Doug to the Sid Weber Memorial Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 485, Rabun Gap, GA 30568.
