Jordan "Ashley" Mavity Obituary

Jordan “Ashley” Mavity passed quietly in her sleep during the early morning of June 20, 2022. Ashley, as she was known to all of her friends and family, leaves a legacy of love, peace, and gratitude. She was a serene presence, a gentle example of quiet strength, and a joy to those fortunate enough to have known her.

Ashley was born with severe physical limitations that held her in their clutches for the extent of her brief but lovely existence on the Earth, but as is often the case, she was blessed beyond the reach of any of her bodily challenges.

A rare and valuable human, Ashley, continually and consistently, inspired others to consider their direction in life and reassess their blessings. By her simple and peaceful presence in any setting, Ashley encouraged others to examine their priorities, and in doing so, awakened a sense of true gratitude in those fortunate enough to have met her.

Ashley brought peace with her, wherever she roamed. Her quiet, calming dignity settled the minds of those caught up in the mundane struggles of life. She brought true perspective and unspoken wisdom to folks wise enough to grasp her gifts and messages.

It was often said of Ashley, by those entrusted with her care that “she is the strongest person we know.” This is undoubtedly the truth, for while her soul was trapped in an uncooperative body, its essence could not be restrained. It radiated and burned for all to see.

Ashley was a true gift. She will be missed

Ashley is survived and celebrated by her parents Scott and Tracy Moretz, as well as Brian and Marsi Mavity.  Siblings Kaylin Bulla and Dolan Weeks, Lauren and Austin White, Peyton Mavity and Reagan Mavity.  Her nieces and nephews Braylei Davis, Jacob Hodge, Jeffrey Antley, Jaxson Weeks, Kai Weeks and Kayce White.  Grandparents Judith Breese and Bruce and Bobbie Moretz, as well as honorary grandparents Joe and Sharon Anderson, and devoted caregivers Julie Best and Foy Tootle. She was preceded in death by grandparents Bill and Joy Mavity.
