Wanda Joyce (Free) Deal, of Wiley, Georgia passed away on November 12, 2024 with her loving family by her side.

Joyce was born in Rabun County on January 25, 1945 to the late Grover W. Free and late Eunice Large Free. Joyce graduated from Rabun County High School in 1963 after which she stayed in touch and traveled with her classmates. She was the co-owner and founder of Deal’s Appliance Service in 1973 as well as a substitute teacher at Rabun County High School.

Joyce was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who valued family and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger. Joyce enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon. She loved traveling and visited all but six of the national parks in her lifetime.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Ronnie Deal Sr.; children, Ronald Allen Deal Jr. (April) and Rita Deal Gipson (Wayne); sister, Trudy English (George English); grandchildren, Fletcher Deal, Isaac Deal, Jeb Gipson (Avery) and Eli Gipson; great-grandchild, Jones Gipson; special niece, Kimberly English Alley (Bartley) and special caregivers, Alice Olin, Lori Smith, Amy Westbrook, and Christina Hopkins. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will take place 1:00pm Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Rabun Memory Park in Tiger, Georgia.
