Julia Elanie (Brewer) Ritchie

Julia Elaine Brewer Ritchie of Flowery Branch, Georgia, passed away on Friday May 5, 2023.

Julia was born in Clayton, Georgia on June 28, 1941 to the late Jarrell Hogg and Grace Hamby Brewer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Jarrell Brewer and Richard Brewer, three sisters;  Genelle B. Brown, Rebecca B Twight and Jean B. Lynch. She was born in Clayton and moved to Atlanta to raise her family but Clayton was always her home. She was in the Red Hat Club and delivered for Meals on Wheels but her passion was her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband William Thomas (Tom) Ritchie of Flowery Branch, Georgia, three sons; Derek (Emily) Ritchie of Buford, Georgia, Rick Ritchie of Silverthorne, Colorado and Jay (DeDe) Ritchie of Woodstock, Georgia, one sister; Carolyn B. James of Clayton, Georgia, and also six grandchildren Rachel (Helen) Ritchie of Honolulu, Hawaii, Timothy (Nicole)  Ritchie of Moab, Utah, Brian Ritchie, Lake Tahoe, Nevada, Sydney Ritchie of Atlanta, Georgia, Ethan Ritchie of Bozeman, Montana and Addison Ritchie of Woodstock, Georgia.

The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home on Sunday May 7, 2023 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral service for Mrs. Ritchie will be held Monday May 8, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Beck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Scott Wilson and Reverend Dexter James officiating. Interment will follow in the Mozeley Memorial Cemetery.
