Linda Dunn Tanksley Obituary

Linda Dunn Tanksley, 65 of Clayton, Georgia went to her heavenly home.

 

Linda was born in Upland, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Aubrey G. Dunn and the late Hilda York Davis. Linda liked to travel and was able to travel to many places, she enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and raising lilies. She worked for Security Finance Company for 30 years she loved her job and the company she worked for. Linda was a kind and caring person and she helped people through her work and her customers became like family to her. She served her community through many ways and was a member of The Clayton Housing Authority for many years.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life Jack Tanksley. Linda is survived by One step son, Josh Tanksley of Alto, Georgia; one step daughter, Rebecca Lowe (M.C.) of Alto, Georgia; one brother, Aubrey G. Dunn II (Cathy) of Jacksonville, North Carolina; Two sisters, Bonnie Dunn Matkov (Michael) of Chadds Ford Pennsylvania, Marilyn Johnson (Mark) of Painesville, Ohio; sister in law Janice Parker (Lamar); eight step-grandchildren, Johnathan Oxner (Merinda), Justin Oxner (Kaila), Jay Oxner (Bailey), Jordan Lowe, Jack Tanksley, Briana Tanksley, Amanda Purdy (Anthony), Krystal Blackwell (Henry) and seven step Great Grandchildren.

 

Linda did not want any service so no services are scheduled.

 

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Sid Weber Memorial Cancer Fund P.O. Box 485 Rabun Gap, GA 30568 in memory of Linda Dunn Tanksley.
