Lowell France Lightsey Obituary
Lowell France Lightsey passed away on April 17, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He is also preceded in death by his wife Sue Lightsey, two sons Anthany Lightsey, and Eric Lightsey.
Lowell was a devoted Christian man whose life was guided by a strong and steady faith. He began each day reading his Bible, finding strength and peace in God’s word. His faith was not only something he believed in, but something he lived out daily through his kindness, generosity, and care for others. He was married to the love of his life for over 60 years.
He was the owner and operator of a mobile home park in Lawrenceville Georgia for 52 years, where he worked diligently and took pride in what he built. Lowell was known as a very giving person, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Above all, he was a devoted family man who took great care of his loved ones. His life was centered around providing for and supporting his family, and he will be remembered for his unwavering love, strength, and generosity.
He is survived by his sister, Elane Lightsey and Carol Lightsey; his sister-in-law, wife of his late brother, Buncum; as well as Melanie Burris, Melissa Reidling, Michele Jones, Wanda Cox, Greg Satterfield, and Carroll Lightsey. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Beck Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery, 243 S. Billy Branch Road, Clayton, Georgia 30525.
