Mary Moniree (Ledford) Ledford

Mary Moniree Ledford 97 of Clayton, GA,  passed away on March 1, 2021.Moniree was born the daughter of the late Leash W. Ledford and the late Paralee Phillips Ledford on February 5, 1924. She was a Christian, and was a member of Blue Heights Baptist Church. She worked in the textile industry for many years. She was a talented quilter, seamstress, homemaker and an excellent cook.  She loved her family and friends that was always a priority and they were always welcome at her table.

Moniree was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her husband Chloe Ledford of 65 years, her son Phillip C. Ledford, one brother, Robert Ledford, four sisters  Louella Nicholson, Bonnie Gribble, Era Byers and Ruth Stanley.

Her survivors include her daughter Phyllis Ledford Harmon (Jim) of Rabun Gap, GA., her son Rev. Dennis Ledford (Lynn) of Clarkesville, GA., daughter in law, Sandra Ledford, Clayton, GA., five grandchildren, Darren Harmon (Julie) of Madison, MS, DeAnn Harmon Smith (Jeff) of Watkinsville, GA., Rev Austin Harmon (Jennifer) of Dawsonville, GA., Justin Ledford (Katie) of Clarkesville, GA, and Amy Ledford of Clarkesville, GA., sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren,  and two sister-in-laws, Leota Rollins of Carrollton, GA and Loree Ledford of Hayesville, NC, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Family will receive friends March 4, 2021from 10:00 am until 10:45am. Funeral service will follow in the Chapel with Rev. Danny Cannon officiating. Covid restrictions will apply with a limited number allowed to be in the building at one time per requirements use of face mask will be required to enter the building.
