Michael Banks Henderson Jr., age 29, of Dillard, Georgia, passed away on April 3, 2024.
Michael was born in Jackson County, North Carolina, on April 21, 1994 to Michael Banks Henderson and Kimberly Dawnette McCall. He worked as a painter for Henderson Painting.
Michael was a self-taught guitarist, songwriter and musician who recorded music in Nashville. Some of his music can be found on Spotify. In high school, he ran cross country. He enjoyed fishing, running, and doing anything that involved being outdoors. Michael served in the Air Force. He was stationed in Minot, North Dakota, Guam, and Qatar where he worked on B52 Bombers. He was very mechanically inclined and even fixed his own vehicles. Michael was known for having the best manners and being an overall wonderful man. He was an angel on Earth.
Michael is preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Lester Henderson Sr.
Michael is survived by his parents, Kimberly McCall and Michael B. Henderson (April); siblings, Tristian Alexander, Elijah Henderson and Amy Henderson; and grandparents, Leroy “Spud” McCall, Ella Mae McCall, and Joyce Ann Taylor.
A visitation will be held at Beck Funeral Home Saturday, April 6, 2024 11:00am -12:45pm with a service following at 1:00pm in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Miller Cemetery.
