Pamela Romaine Burrell, age 79, of Rabun Gap, Georgia, passed away on January 14, 2024.

Pam was born November 7, 1944, in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Thomas Romaine and late Helen Manning Romaine. She was a retired ParaPro for Rabun County Schools, where she worked for over 20 years.

Pam enjoyed spending her day walking in the woods and looking at flowers. She had a love for teaching, especially reading and loved taking day trips with her friends. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Pam is preceded in death by her husband, Wyle Burrell; and her first husband, Billy Paul McGahee; and great-grandson, Jace McGahee.

Pam is survived by sons, Louie Burrell and Sean (Becky) McGahee; grandkids, Amanda (Jason) Emery, David (Andrea) McGahee, and Jacob (Lindsay) McGahee; great-grandkids, Sawyer Emery, Savana Emery, Brodie Emery, Olivia McGahee, Hunter McGahee, Daniel McGahee,  and soon-to-be Grayson McGahee; and brother, Tony Romaine. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Pam’s family will receive friends 5:00pm-7:00pm Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Beck Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held to honor the life of Pam 2:00pm Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Battle Branch Baptist Church in Clayton, Georgia with the graveside following in Battle Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
