Patsy Henry Lovell

Patsy Henry-Lovell, 91of Clayton, GA, passed away surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Fred Henry and Ann Key Henry.  Preceding her in death was her son, Wesley Ray Dockins, Grandson, Chad Smith, a Sister, Susie Hamilton and son-in-law, Richard Vail. 

She is survived by her daughter Linda Vail, daughter Debby Dockins, of Clayton, GA., daughter Brenda Dalin and her husband Steve, son Johnny Taylor, son Ben Lee Dockins, of Chattanooga, TN and son Roger Lovell III and his wife Tina of Covington, GA.   12 Grandchildren, Darrell Jones, Alana Dickerson, Johnny Taylor, Jr Candice Simmons, Paul Dockins, Gary English, Misty cannon, Wesley Clark, Jeremy Lovell, Joshua Lovell, Jessica Lovell and Luke Lovell, 18 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Brother, Russell Henry and his wife Vernie.

Patsy was a loving sister, and a wonderful mother. Patsy worked hard all her life to raise her 7 children.  She worked at Clayburne Manufacturing until it closed its doors in the 1980’s. She retired from Wal-Mart in 2011 when she was 80 years old.  Mom never lost her sense of humor, even as she was at her life journey’s end.  She enjoyed sewing, reading and most of all her Lord and Savior and her church.  She was a member of the Clayton Church of God where she taught Sunday school and Bible School for many years and often called upon to conduct a sermon.  There are plenty of little girls that were the recipient of the fancy dresses Mom would make them for Christmas, Birthdays and Easter.  Patsy was a good friend to many; she will be missed dearly.

Visitation will be held at Beck Funeral Home, February 17, 2023 from 6-8 PM Friday. A funeral service will be held on February 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Beck Funeral home with Reverend Brian Alexander officiating.  Interment will follow in Roane Cemetery.
