Reba Joyce Brooks, age 69 of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on October 26, 2025.

Joyce was born November 28, 1955 in Clayton, Georgia to the late David Marsengill and late Alice Chastain Marsengill.

Joyce enjoyed the outdoors, trout fishing and hunting. She also liked to visit antique shops and was always on the lookout for a good deal. She baked often and cakes were her favorite thing to create, but time spent with her family was more important to her than anything else. She was especially happy whenever she got the chance to spend time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Robert Brooks Sr.; and her brother, James Marsengill.

Joyce is survived by her children, Jerry Speed (Bethany) and Michael Dean Speed, and stepson, Joe Brooks Jr. (Carmen); siblings, Troy Marsengill, Norman Marsengill, Randy Marsengill, and Faye Quilliams; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held 1:00pm-2:00pm on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Beck Funeral home with a funeral service at 2:00pm in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place following the funeral service at Pickett Cemetery in Clayton, Georgia.
