Rowanda (Ro) Worley Burrell passed away January 12, 2025 with her loving family by her side.

Rowanda was born on October 15, 1972 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Truitt Worley and late Carlene English Worley. She had a career in healthcare. She started as a CNA at Mountain View Health and Rehab after which she worked as an EMT in Rabun County. She later became a registered nurse, spending 17 years working for Stephens County Hospital in the Emergency Room.

Rowanda had a heart to serve others, especially her family and friends who she loved dearly. She loved flowers and liked to have picnics by the creek. Rowanda also enjoyed visiting the beach. She loved to shop and enjoyed reading.

In addition to her parents, Rowanda is preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Worley and Ryan Worley; grandparents, Frank Dixon and Willie (Imom) Dixon; Carlton and Clyde English; and nephew, Tyler Worley.

Rowanda is survived by her beloved husband, Scott Burrell; brothers, Randy Worley (Tracey) and Rodney Worley (Jennifer); nieces, Emma and Grace; brother-in-law, Heath Burrell and his children, Heather, Ellie and Chan; and brother-in-law,  Levi Burrell (Lora) and their children, Taylor and Jacob.

A visitation will be held 2:00pm-3:00pm on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Beck Funeral Home with a memorial service following at 3:00pm in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel. After the service there will be a cake and coffee reception.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Samaritan’s Purse for hurricane Helene relief efforts. Donations can be mailed to PO BOX 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
