Sadie Louise Owens

Sadie Louise Owens passed away on May 19, 2026. She was born May 16, 1945 in Clayton, Georgia to the late O.D. and Rosa Bell Owens.

Sadie gave her life to Christ at an early age at Ivy Hill Baptist where she faithfully served as a deaconess. Sadie built her career around her love for children. She worked with the Good, Long, and Bickerstaff families. Sadie graduated from Cornelia Regional High School. Sadie will be remembered for her love for Hallmark movies, reading, her son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sadie is preceded in death by her siblings, Otis Owens Jr., Naulderine Owens, and Harley “Sonny” Owens; nephews, Michael Fortson, Anthony Mance, and Chris Mance; sister-in-law, Linda Owens; and brother-in-laws, Walter Mance, Lester Hall, and Willie Fortson.

She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Lindsey Owens (Amy); siblings, Mary Mance of Clayton, GA, Hall Owens of Hot Springs, VA, Lil Hall of Franklin, NC, Hattie Fortson of Clayton, GA, Bob Owens (Synethia) of Franklin, NC, Keith Owens (Felicia) of Clayton, GA, Ulyssess Owens (Pee-Wee) of Toccoa, GA; grandchildren, Alexis Smith (Patrick), Chase Groom (Candice), Jayda, Jaycee, and Addybeth; great-grandchildren, Carson, Charlotte and Akira; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Beck Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place 2:00pm on Sunday, May 24, 2026 in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel with burial following the service in Penland Cemetery
