Sandra Lee Park Obituary
Sandra Lee Park, 67, of Clayton, passed away at home with family by her side after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Sandy was born in 1957 to Dessie Mae English and Dorsey H. Park. She was the youngest of our siblings.
She considered herself privileged to have been able to grow up on Persimmon, and those memories of home were always a comfort to her. Sandy graduated from Rabun County High School in 1975 and continued her education at North Georgia Tech.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Betty Sue, and a beloved sister-in-law, Annette Park. She is survived by her brothers, Doug Park, Charles Park (Lorene) and Mike Park (Elaine), her children, Summer Kilby Justus (David), Jason Brown and Heather Garnto Greer (Glen), grandchildren Peyton Ashe and Geoffrey Justus (Kirstin), three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many friends whom she dearly loved.
Always a bit of a rebel at heart, Sandy lived life to the fullest and encouraged others to do the same. She was unapologetically herself in how she lived her life, but utterly selfless in how she gave her love. If you ever heard her say, “I love you baby”, just know that she truly loved you.
The body has been cremated and a graveside service will be held at the Persimmon cemetery on Saturday, November 16th at 4pm with Rev. Steve York officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Sid Weber Memorial Cancer fund.
You can rest easy now, mom. Your heart and soul are home and at peace.
