Sarah Jean Elizabeth English Duncan, 82, of Mountain City, Georgia passed away June 15, 2023.

Sarah was born in Rabun County, the daughter of the late Raleigh English and the late Lera Ritchie English.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter Gisele Queen. Her survivors are one son, James “Jay” Yeary (Mary “Sissy”) of Lakemont, Georgia; a daughter, Rachel DiNofrio (Chris) of Lakemont, Georgia; two brothers, William English (Elaine) of Lakemont, Georgia and George English (Trudy) of Wiley, Georgia; one sister, Patricia Blackwell of Clarkesville, Georgia; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Sarah grew up in Mountain City and later in life traveled all over the United States and lived in California and Canada for a number of years. She had friends all over the United States. Sarah enjoyed visiting the patients at Mountain View nursing home in Clayton, Georgia. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She always looked forward to family gatherings and cooking for all the family.
