Sean Michael Macaulay went to Heaven on Sunday, April 16th, 2023. He was 20 years old.
Sean was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on August 7 th , 2002. At birth he was a healthy
vibrant baby, displaying no signs of illness or developmental delay. Shortly after reaching six
months of age, Sean developed an intractable seizure disorder that was elicited by an acute
reaction to his juvenile vaccinations. As a result, Sean was rendered non-verbal, non-mobile,
legally blind, and required daily feeding through a G-Tube for a majority of his life.
Despite his setbacks, Sean was a happy child that was surrounded by love. He also gave an
abundance of love back to everyone around him. Though his functionality was limited, his
impact on those that came to know him was immensely positive. He was widely respected and
loved by his classmates at Rabun County High School, where he graduated in May of 2022.
Sean is now attending the University of Heaven on a full scholarship, where his proud parents
are confident that he will earn his master’s degree.
Despite his physical and mental imperfections, Sean was perfect in many ways. He never lied.
He never cheated. He never used foul language. He never disrespected his parents. He was
never jealous. We are relatively sure that he never committed adultery, and to our knowledge he
has never killed anyone. While Sean was here on earth, he was the epitome of innocence and
purity. His lifetime score with the Ten Commandments is a perfect 10 for 10.
Sean Michael Macaulay is survived by his mother Holly Ciochetti, his father Patrick Macaulay,
his sisters Bella Ciochetti, Vannessa Sisto, Ashley Ciochetti, his brothers Taylor Sisto, Michael
Ciochetti III, Luke Macaulay, his grandfather George Wilson, his grandmother Jeanette
Ciochetti, and his stunt-father Michael Ciochetti Jr.
Visitation will be held at Beck’s Funeral Home on Saturday, April 22 nd from 1:00pm to 3:00pm
followed by a brief service in the Funeral Home Chapel. Sean loved being in the water, whether
it was Lake Burton or the Atlantic Ocean. To honor his affinity Sean will be buried at sea off the
east coast of Florida at a time and date yet to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the National Vaccine Information
