Sue (McConnell) Beasley

Winnie Sue McConnell Beasley of Tiger, Georgia went to her Heavenly home on September 8, 2023.

Sue was born May 22, 1941 in Tiger, Georgia to the late Marvin McConnell and late Minnie Carnes McConnell. Sue worked in the office at Fruit of the Loom for many years.

Sue was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and spending time with family. She loved watching birds in her many birdhouses Ray built for her. She was a faithful church member who loved the Lord and studying her bible. Sue and Ray enjoyed “loafing” around looking at the countryside and enjoying the beautiful scenery we are blessed to have.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Minnie McConnell, and sister-in-law, Earle Ann McConnell.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ray Beasley, children, Pam (Greg) Speed and Sonja DeFoor, siblings, Alton (Vicky) McConnell, Jack McConnell, and Lucille (JL) Snyder, grandchildren, Matthew (Kasey) Speed, Dustin Speed (Jennifer Miller), Ashlee Chambley (Steve York), Marina DeFoor (Sam Khudari), and great grandchildren, Hayden Speed, Hayley Speed, Hunter Speed, Mason Chambley, Rileigh Chambley, Molly Anna York and Weston York.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 1:00pm-2:00pm Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Beck Funeral Home, service following at 2:00pm in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Liberty Baptist Church in Tiger, Georgia.
