Susie Ann Gragg, age 74, of Clayton, Georgia passed away on June 3, 2024.

Susie was born in Rabun County on December 27, 1949 to the late William “Bill” Gibson and late Etheleen Bradshaw Gibson.

Susie was known for being honest and fair. She often told her family about God and all He had done for her. God was the most important person in her life and she depended on Him for everything. Susie always said she was going to heaven “even if she had to sweep and mop the floors to get there”. Susie was a member at Lakemont Baptist Church and enjoyed taking time to read her Bible.

Susie was strong and independent, even placing every stone used to build a rock wall at her home place. Susie enjoyed talking to her children about what scriptures they had recently read, listening to music, and dancing (she loved dancing). She also enjoyed hand-making dolls for the family, sewing and playing the organ.

Susie is survived by children, Hank Fountain (Laura), Lee Fountain, and Shane Gragg; siblings, Harold Mayroll, Judy Carter, Kathy Massengill, Mildred Gragg, Gerldine Shook, Johnny Gibson, Leonard Gibson, and David Gibson; grandchildren, Samantha Ramey (Daniel), Brooke Diaz (Kris), Hailey Fountain, Jacob Fountain, Kaylynn McConnell, and Danielle Fountain; great-grandchildren, Matthew Ramey, Emma Ramey, Brayden Diaz, and Serenity Nevaeh Sharkey; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

A visitation will be held 10:00am –11:00am on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Beck Funeral Home with a funeral service following in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Roane Cemetery.
