Taylor Marie Richards, age 28, passed away on September 2, 2023.
Taylor was born on March 17, 1995, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Stephen Paul Richards and Barbara Yvonne Richards. Taylor worked as a forklift operator at Parkdale Mills alongside her mother.
Taylor was a loving and dedicated mother to her two daughters, Elizabeth and Ophelia. Prior to the arrival of her daughters, she poured her energy into learning how to raise empathetic and thoughtful children. Which, by all measures, she succeeded.
She was a deeply sensitive and creative person. There was no holiday or birthday that passed without a handwritten card or homemade gift. No matter who the gift was for, it was personalized, which showed her keen eye for detail and acted as a reminder of who that person was to her.
Taylor also loved to spend time in her garden where she grew herbs for tinctures among bushels of flowers. She felt at home in nature and loved to go for walks through the North Georgia mountains, and track astrology charts through the seasons. There was no doubt that she felt a deep connection to the world around her. Spread across her walls were dried rose petals, paintings of trees, and dreams of building her own commune within the mountains - a place where she found comfort. A place that, as time moves on, her family will find that same comfort.
She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth and Ophelia, parents Stephen and Barbara, siblings Mika and Bradley, nephews Paxton and Parker, and niece Alexis. Taylor loved all her family so dearly and will be missed by all.
If you would like to join her family and pay your final respects, the funeral will be held at Beck Funeral Home, 898 HWY 441, Clayton, GA, 30525 on Saturday, September 16, 2023. The viewing will begin at 1 pm and the service will begin at 2 pm.
