Thomas Edward Coffey, age 81 of Otto, North Carolina passed away on August 18, 2025.

Thomas was born October 16, 1943 in Washington, Georgia to the late Emory and Lucy Esco Coffey. He served 6 years in the U.S. National Guard during which he earned “Soldier of the Year”. Afterwards, he became the owner and operator of Goodyear stores in Boynton Beach and Lantana, Florida.

Thomas enjoyed the beauty of the mountains and often spent time outdoors hunting, fishing and watching wildlife. He enjoyed being around people and spending time with friends. He was often telling stories or playing practical jokes on those he cared about.

In addition to his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by his sisters, Francis Novello, Elizabeth Green, Ruby Shackleford, and Ruthie Pratt; and grandchild, Harrison Coffey.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Linda Lustig Coffey; children, Michael Anthony Coffey and Stephanie Coffey Arnette; and grandchildren, Cooper Arnette, Vivienne Arnette, Sofia Coffey O’Brien, and Henry Coffey.

A visitation will be held Friday, August 22, 2025 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Beck Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will take place 11:30am on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at St. Helena Catholic Church with the interment taking place at 3:30pm in Arnoldsville, Georgia.
