Obituary
Velva Jewel Jackson Ward passed away on May 25, 2023. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Ward, her parents, daughter; Devyeon Ward Ivins and a brother;six sisters; and a great grandchild.
Velva was a member of Smyrna First Baptist Church. She liked to travel, loved family get togethers, liked being outside in nature hearing the birds chirp and loved smelling and feeling flowers.
She is survived by her daughter; Denise (Larry) Born, son; James (Brenda) Ward, and a sister Lavern Meguire, 10 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
