William Horace McCrackin    

September 5, 1942 - June 20, 2024

Born Sept 5, 1942, to late Robert C and Lola Shirley McCrackin in Lakemont Ga.

He passed away peacefully at his home on June 20, 2024, after an extended illness surrounded by his loving family.

Will was an avid outdoorsman who loved nothing more than to spend his free time hunting and fishing the hills and hollers and lakes of Rabun County. The place he called home from birth.

Oct.1958 at the age of 17 he enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve and served his country honorably until his discharge in April 1966.

 Will was married to the late Patsy A Wall McCrackin.

He is survived by his children Preston (Alex), Kenneth (Angie), Karen (Carrie).

Grandchildren, William, Holly, Ethon, Brittany, Blake, Megan, Andrew and Sam

14 wonderful Great grands also survive.

Two siblings, Betty McCrackin and Samuel McCrackin also survive. A host of nieces and nephews are left to cherish his memory.

The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home Sunday June 23 from 1 p.m. until the Funeral Hour at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Beck Funeral Home. Rev Jewell Gaines officiating.

The family would like to thank the Lakemont/Rabun Co. community and Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center for the outpouring of love and support. The love and kindness we have received made Dads final days a blessing for him.
