Miriam Hudson Burks Wysock, age 83, of Clayton, Ga., passed away December 28, 2016. She was born April 8, 1933 the daughter of the late James Smith Hudson and Lily Delene Burgess Hudson. Her first husband Jesse Arnold Burks, and one brother James Smith Hudson Jr. also precede her in death.
She is survived by her loving husband Paul A. Wysock. Also surviving is one daughter Anita Elaine Burks Clayton, Ga., and one son James David Burks (Susan) Evans, Ga., and step-son Paul J. Wysock (Nataliya) Clover, S.C., and one step-daughter Kristi Rakes (Shane) Spring Hill, Fl. Also surviving are her two grand children Kristin Burks Smith, and Stephanie Diane Burks, and three step grand children.
Music was important in her life as she used it to lift up Church members, friends, and family. Miriam and Paul enjoyed playing music and singing together. She loved to travel and for a period of time, Miriam lived in Brazil and also in the Philippines and she and Paul traveled to various parts of the world.
A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 p.m. January 3, 2017 at the Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, Ga. with Dr. Robert Burks officiating. The family will have a Memorial Service 3:00 PM January 21st, 2017 Held at the Rabun Gap Presbyterian Chuch, with Rev. Don Barber officiating.
