Paul, Karen and I were shocked and saddened by the news. Miriam's sharp wit and friendly nature will be missed. If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.

My sympathy to all of the family.
I have many joyful memories of the years of friendship with Miriam.  Long talks and laughter, choir, dinners and visits to each others homes.    I will cherish those memories and miss her laughter.
God bless you all.

I know Miriam through the loving memories that my mother, Helen Burgess Spoolstra, shared with me.  I grieve the loss of this special lady and send my deepest sympathy as I pray for the Holy Spirit's love and peace to bring you comfort and joy.  What beautiful music there is with Helen and Miriam singing together!

Great aunt.  She always sent me Christmas cards, even though we were miles apart.  I will miss Knowing that she is not tangibly present, but will keep her in my heart.

Paul, David, and Anita, I have so many wonderful, happy memories of Miriam as we grew up.  We were very close cousins and had great times together and joked a lot.  Miriam is 4 years older than I am, and on  a vacation to Florida when we were young, people mistook me for 16 and Miriam for 12, and she has never let me forget it.  We laughed about it the last time we talked on the phone.  I will miss our conversations and reminiscing about the old times.  She sang at my wedding, as I am sure she sang at many weddings over the years.  She was definitely a special person, loved by all.

What a precious and delightful lady, with a mischievous sense of humor. She is in heaven making all the saints and angles laugh. Prayers continue for all the family.
