Dear Bonnie and Bart and Erin,
I was so very sorry to learn of your recent tragic loss. I can't even imagine the depth of your grief, but as a mother, I know the joy that our children bring us and the sadness we experience when they are away from us. May God hold you in his healing hands, and give you strength to move forward. When my mother- Shirley Leavell died from ALS many years ago, I thought I would be devastated when she was gone. But I realized that every hug, every kindness, every word of love she had ever given me, had become a part of my own tapestry and a part of me. May you take comfort each day in discovering the fibers of Shana that have become a part of you, knowing that she will never be totally gone and will love on in you.
My deepest sympathy to all of you, with love from all of us Cranberry folk,

Our family is heart broken to hear about the loss of your daughter. Those of us who are parents can not even begin to imagine the pain and loss you are suffering. Although we did not personally know Shana, Dr. Flick has always bragged about his girls and grandchildren. From him, I know that Shana was an incredible person who reached out to help many others.
